Disorganisation = Self-Sabotage!

Dan Beverly

Organisation is one of my core values. And I’ll just say it: I like my sh!t to be organised. 😁

But I also like my clients to have their sh!t organised. Not because I believe they should align with my values, but because organisation aligns them with their success.

(And disorganisation keeps them from it!)

Now, I’m not saying you need to keep your home and workspace neat and tidy (although I’d love it if you did!). But I am saying you need to be ORGANISED. If your desk looks like a small bomb went off, recently – but there’s a SYSTEM in place – that’s ok with me. If, amongst the mess, you can put your hand quickly on the thing that you need – all good. If it looks like chaos to someone else, but for you, there’s minimal friction and optimal focus – excellent. You’re on the path. 🚀

But if you’re DISORGANISED … that says to me you’re creating the kind of distractions and fractious chaos that are serving an unconscious need to put something between you and your success.

It’s a form of self-sabotage. Because when we’re disorganised, there’s always some other task or priority or distraction in our eyeline before we can get back on the path to success. (“I need to tidy this place up, before I take that bold next action!”)

Contrast this to times when we’re well-organised … and there might be an uneasy feeling of being uncomfortable close to success. It’s as if we’re soon-to-be out of excuses before we’re stepping out, showing up, creating, delivering, serving, succeeding.

So, my challenge for you today: GET ORGANISED! And lean into that discomfort that comes with having everything in order, so you’ve nothing left to do now, but go be successful! 👊
