How Are You Doing The Thinking?
“What do you mean, how am I doing the thinking? I don’t do thinking. It just kinda happens!”
And therein lies the problem. So often, we’re on autopilot and our results are far from optimal.
But if we could create a shift in our approach to bring a greater consciousness to our work – and our style of leadership, particularly – imagine the performance improvements we’d see …
Great calm under pressure. Less getting embroiled in the drama. An ability to exist above the overwhelm and stress. More thoughtful decision-making. Alignment with the bigger mission. Greater clarity on direction and purpose. Absolute certainty on next steps.
Useful, right?
How do we create that skill for meta-cognition: thinking about the thinking? With practice – it’s a (thinking) skill. And with a cue that kicks-off that practice: “How am I doing the thinking?”

In short: become a brain-based leader.
