A thought to start the week: “work on you.”
Work On You
Take a look at your calendar for the week and ask: where in here is there time for me to work … on me?
I’m guessing: nowhere.
Now, sure: we might block-out some time in our calendar to “do some work” (as opposed to go to meetings – more on that in a later post!). But that’s to get through the ToDo list. To make calls. To progress our deliverables. To prepare for the next meeting.
None of it is concentrated, disciplined work on you. The same you responsible for all this work.
How many systems do you know whose standards don’t deteriorate when neglected?
Hold yourself to a higher standard. This week: find time in your calendar to work on you.
