I’m going to keep this short and sweet: find simplicity wherever you can.
Have you noticed how often we try to be more complex. To make things more complicated than they need to be. To add things.
Something I’ve really enjoyed in the coming back after the winter break is the clarity of distance it’s afforded me. And as I’ve got back into my routines, I’ve used that distance to spot unnecessary complexity – and remove it.
It’s been a breath of fresh air; a weight lifted. My clients have reported the same when they’ve tried it.
It’s easy to let ourselves think success lives and thrives in complexity. But think about it now: isn’t your power in simplicity?
So here’s a challenge for you: Every day for the next week, spot an unnecessary complexity. And take a bold action to simplify it.
Keep it clean and simple.
