Beliefs are the rules of our lives. The rules we live by.
Some of those beliefs are empowering and liberating and give us permission to achieve our goals and live according to our values.
Others are limiting and obstructive, making goals impossible and keeping what we want out of our future.
We form our beliefs from our experiences – and then act as if they are true. But equally, our experiences are the result of our beliefs. We can choose our beliefs.
Challenging limiting beliefs and choosing empowering beliefs can require deep reflection and extended work.
I want to cut through that with you and give you one simple question to challenge any limiting beliefs. Think of what you want, and ask right now:
What belief is keeping that out of my life?
Who would you be without that belief? What would you have? What would that lead to?
Limiting beliefs can leave us feeling something is impossible, that we’re not capable of it, or that we’re not worthy of it. Challenge those beliefs by asking this one powerful question.
