A thought to start the week: “forget change, focus on progress”.
Forget Change, Focus on Progress
If one thing’s for certain, it’s change.
We may casually say “nothing’s changing” or “nothing’s changed” or “we need to create change” or “we need to work at change”. But change is the default. It’s happening all the time. We don’t need to work at change.
What we need to work at is progress.
Progress is not the default. Progress is something we do need to work at. Something we need to create by intention. And it’s worth it: changes don’t fulfil us; progress does.
Change and progress are not the same thing. And that’s a useful distinction to draw.
Experiment with it this week and think in terms of making progress, where before you might have thought in terms of making changes.
