A parting thought to close-out the week: “constancy amongst change”.
Constancy Amongst Change
Whatever change you’re contemplating. Personal. Career. Inner change. External change. Look to preserve some constancy elsewhere in your life.
Think now of the words of Archimedes: “Give me a place to stand, and with a lever I will move the whole world.” We need a place to stand. From which to plan, orchestrate and assess our change. A North to our compass.
That place comes from the other things in our life. Our family. Our friendships. Our interests. Our values. Our mission.
As you leave for the weekend, ask: what constancy do I need to religiously guard to support the changes I want to make?
